1. An Epic Dud

For a match being sold as the first ever encounter between two significant duos – D-Generation X and the Brothers of Destruction – you’d think there would be more of a hard sell than Michael Cole reminding us of it a dozen times.

The Undertaker and Kane delivered a fairly typical promo, while DX resorted to trickery so Shawn Michaels could hit Sweet Chin Music on Taker. And then, as DX celebrated, UT sat up, which basically ended the show.

This match is the main draw of the show, with HBK coming out of retirement for it. And aside from the announcers rambling as part of their card rundown, this match got a promo and a superkick. That’s pretty spartan.
