DOWNS…

7. Hawkins Falls Again

No free tacos in Houston Monday night.

On the plus side, Curt Hawkins is gainfully employed. On the minus side, everything else.

Hawkins’ epic losing streak reached 0-200 Monday night, losing to James Harden via DQ when Baron Corbin attacked the jobber deliberately, just to ruin Hawkins’ desperate attempt to end his losing streak and thwart his offer of free tacos for the audience when he won.

And so how did Hawkins respond? He threw a punch and then was felled by a taco to the face, then had the table of tacos dumped all over him. If WWE had some sort of plan here – maybe Hawkins challenges Corbin and at least puts up a fight next week, maybe he keeps trying every week to beat a jobber and Baron keeps screwing him over, something – it could work, but odds are this was a one-time thing that will lead nowhere.

We won’t be holding our collective breaths.
