5 Ways To Have Better Handled The Vacant WWE Championship

3. The Undertaker!

Speaking of Survivor Series, the event could have also been seen as perfectly timed had the WWE decided to utilize The Undertaker as a focal point in the WWE Championship pursuit. Why not center the theme of the event around the Deadman chasing the same title he won 24 years ago, at the event he debuted at 25 years ago? Tournament or not, why couldn't The Undertaker have been involved in the title picture? Even by using the same plans of a multi-week tournament, throwing The Undertaker into the mix would only have helped. As a side note, the tournament would've played much better had it taken place all in one night, and maybe with a few mystery entrants. Advertising The Undertaker's pursuit of the title and not just simply an appearance in a tag-team match against a man he already defeated would've been received much better. Fans could have questioned the possibility of Undertaker vs. Ambrose, Undertaker vs. Owens, or Undertaker vs. Roman! If protecting The Undertaker was a concern, then his future WrestleMania opponent could've cost him his Championship opportunity. Without even changing their plans of using a multi-week long tourney, the WWE still missed a huge opportunity by not including The Undertaker in the crowning of a new champion. Simply involving The Undertaker and pushing it as one (final?) chase of the WWE Championship would have been a big boost compared to what the WWE actually presented.
