Anyone who has followed pro wrestling for longer than a few years will recall hearing from countless wrestlers that Vince McMahon wanted them to 'show some personality'. In 2018, Bobby Lashley was an unfortunate pet project of McMahon's. Big Bob looked great and could wrestle fine, but promos weren't a strong suit. Vince aimed to change that by laying it on thick with forced context about Lashley's upbringing.

Bobby told Renee Young in sit down interviews that his three sisters teased and bullied him growing up. That, apparently, made Lashley into the force to be reckoned with he'd become. Seizing opportunity, then painfully-unentertaining heel Sami Zayn (hard to imagine, eh?!) brought Bob's "three sisters" to Raw and asked them to expose every family secret on the 21 May 2018 episode.

Future member of the current AEW roster Max Caster played one of the sisters in question. He had to stand there and react as Bobby tore the segment to shreds (ironically struggling to show off that personality McMahon badly wanted to squeeze from him) and fans sat on their hands bored stiff by what they were seeing. It ended up being regarded as one of the worst skits in the show's rich history.

Lashley's gentle joking and resultant aggression towards Sami for mocking him fell flat. This backfired on WWE spectacularly. Nobody show Tony Khan this nightmare on the off chance he thinks putting Caster back out there as "Frances" would be funny. That's one WWE nod nobody needs to see on episodes of Dynamite in the near future.

Horrible.
