50 Greatest WWE Raw Moments Ever

10. "I'm In Remission Y'All" (February 25th, 2019)

WWE in 2019 wasn't a good news place, and it's one of the reasons why most of the genuinely great pushes, moments and matches from the time came mostly from things that happened in the real lives of the people playing the roles.

Nice as it all was, it revealed just how broken the product was. Documentaries on wrestlers having good/bad days at work became the only way to invest in...anything, which worked out when the likes of Daniel Bryan, Becky Lynch and Kofi Kingston actually benefitted from groundswells, but was an unrelenting nightmare when the company made the selection and tried to force it from there.

This was to be the curse of the entire first half of Roman Reigns' career, but life's brutality crashed into WWE's dysfunctional world when 'The Big Dog' revealed he'd been living with leukaemia for 11 years and had to immediately depart to take on that terrifying challenge. His return six months later to share incredible news of his recovery was - in every sense - a reality check. The company simply did not have it in them to weave narratives as powerful as this human being's vitally important health update, and the bond with Reigns and the audience was shored up beyond any historic dislike. It was the best moment of the year, and - realistically - any year, even if it's one nobody would want to have to see again.
