6 New Directions For WWE After Elimination Chamber 2018

1. Seth Rollins Turning Heel

Just like WWE will busily prepare female opponents for Asuka post-WrestleMania, the writers will be looking for men Roman Reigns can conquer after becoming Universal Champion. Once Reigns beats Brock Lesnar, he'll need someone else to turn his attention to, and there's nobody better than an old running buddy.

Seth Rollins has been babyface for a long stretch now. He's effective in the role, and yet Rollins seemed more comfortable as a dirtbag heel who mixed storyline cowardice with in-ring superiority to dazzling effect. By opposing Roman as a heel, Seth can hark back to his finest year (2015) in WWE.

The story also makes sense. Rollins should be jealous of Roman's success; despite beating him in that Gauntlet Match and wrestling his heart out for an hour, Seth has had to stand by and watch his old chum take a 'Mania spot he wanted. Any story of mild envy turning to bitter resentment writes itself.

WWE's only problem here will be convincing people to boo Rollins for attacking Reigns.
