6 New Directions For WWE After Elimination Chamber 2018

2. Kurt Angle Teaming With Ronda Rousey

The Rock has long been rumoured as the firm favourite to team with Ronda Rousey against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at WrestleMania 34. Three years ago, Rocky helped Rousey put The Authority in their place. He also has significant history with Triple H and fills that part-time star quota WWE love at this time of year.

There appeared to be few options for Rousey other than The Rock. Braun Strowman was an outside bet, and so was Kurt Angle. After what happened at Elimination Chamber though, it's obvious that the current Raw General Manager will get the nod from creative.

It'll likely spell the end of his GM role once he helps Ronda batter WWE's power couple too.

Rousey and Angle are a potent package. Both come with legitimate fighting pedigrees (no pun intended) and seem to go well together as an antidote to the corporate vibes sent out by Trips/Steph. Angle didn't have anything better to do in New Orleans anyway, and it would've been a shame to see him left off the card.
