6 Things WWE Have Done Right So Far This WrestleMania Season (And 6 They Haven't)

4. Not Doing Undertaker Vs. Sting

The biggest dream match that€™s still likely to happen is the Undertaker vs. Sting. Both men were the faces of their respective promotions during the Monday Night Wars, and both of them have since become legendary figures in wrestling history. When Sting was officially signed with WWE in mid-2014, fan speculation immediately began, and fantasy booking for this match began spreading like wildfire across the Internet. Looking at reality, however, it€™s a good thing that this match hasn€™t been booked for WrestleMania Play Button. The reasons for this are twofold. First, the age and health of both men is in question. Undertaker will be 50 by the time WrestleMania rolls around, and Sting will be even older. Both men€™s prime years have long since passed, and both of them require someone younger and more capable to carry them in matches. Undertaker€™s matches with Triple H worked well because HHH is still in great physical shape and can work a great match, as was €˜Taker€™s match with CM Punk, who has proven himself a very capable worker. Sting vs. Triple H was a logical decision over Sting vs. The Undertaker for this exact reason; two men in their 50s wrestling one another would be a good match on paper and in a fantasy booking, but realistically, it might be a good match in terms of crowd reaction and for historic purposes only. The match might not be that good in terms of wrestling quality. Secondly, there are rumors that this legendary encounter will be taking place next year at WrestleMania 32 in Arlington, Texas, because of the larger venue, and because the Undertaker is a known Texan. This is widely rumored to be the Undertaker€™s retirement match, so from that standpoint it makes sense for him to face such a legendary Superstar next year as opposed to this year.
