6 Times WWE Used Concussion Injuries For Storylines

1. You're Welcome

It should have been a routine squash match, but it turned into something approaching a new shoot fight (at least for a couple of cagey moments). When veteran enhancement talent Mike Bell dropped Perry Saturn on his head during a match on Jakked, the cross-eyed wonder saw red and started attacking his opponent, launching him out of the ring onto his neck following some seriously stiff shots. Perry apologised for his unprofessionalism backstage to a furious WWE management. He knew he'd messed up and didn't want to hurt his less famous foe, but he wasn't feeling himself following their botch. His bell had been rung. WWE being WWE, an apology wasn't enough, so they decided to punish Pez on-screen. A few weeks after the Mike Bell incident, Saturn was placed into a storyline which saw him receive multiple concussions, resulting in some very strange behaviour. After being powerbombed into oblivion by the APA and smashed through a table by the Dudleys, the supposedly concussed Saturn fell in love with a mop (rewally) and began uttering total nonsense during promos and segments (his calling card was saying 'You're welcome' at inappropriate times). The storyline produced a few entertaining segments and led to a mini programme with Raven, who was fighting for the honour of Terri Runnels (she was replaced by the infamous mop), but then nothing; Perry soon found himself back on the weekend shows, wrestling more talent the status of the unfortunate Mike Bell.
