6 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (June 26)

2. Sammy Guevara Shines

It says everything for Chris Jericho that he's content to take a backseat and let Sammy Guevara shine as the Inner Circle's main man right now. Jericho would blow everyone else in the faction away on the mic in his sleep, but he knows there's value in building Guevara and nurturing his confident rise up the rankings.

This week, The Pinnacle and the Circle engaged in yet another tasty brawl that culminated with a Sammy promo and an incensed MJF. It'd be easy for AEW to fumble the (admittedly secondary) issue between Guevara and Friedman before getting to MJF and Jericho, so they deserve credit for keeping things hot.

Sammy looked fab when he cut The Pinnacle down with a fiery promo.

He's showing a nice level of energy, and one can literally see Guevara's poise, assurance and charisma skyrocket with every passing week. This is so much better than the snot-nosed young punk gimmick he was playing before.
