6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (June 24)

Downs...

3. So Adam Pearce Has No Power?

This sucked.

Paul Heyman effectively overruled Adam Pearce during SmackDown's opening segment and made his announcement from last week totally defunct. Pearce admitted that he'd been wrong to put both Drew McIntyre and Sheamus in MITB, then revealed that they'd have to team up against The Usos if they wanted that prize.

Seriously, what's the f*cking point in having an authority figure if he actually has no authority? Why should fans believe anything Pearce says after this week-on-week sh*tshow that outed him as a puppet on strings? The dude has less sway than Roman Reigns' manager, for crying out loud!

Pearce has run his race as the default GM on telly, being honest. This proves it - if he doesn't have the necessary powers to decide Money In The Bank match qualifiers, then he barely has any. WWE really didn't think this one through.
