6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (June 16)

3. The Best Choice

...they were the most logical winners.

Deadly are the new kids on the block in the tag-team division, and it was always going to be important that WWE didn't chew them up quickly. Granted, it's difficult to see the duo beating Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn right now, but they can still shine in that coming Undisputed Tag Title showdown.

KO and Sami will certainly give Pretty Deadly a lot. Overall, you've got to support this kind of decision. It was one that put fresh talent over whilst still staying true to their opportunistic heel traits. The post-match chatter Deadly had with the champs came off well too.

Selfishly, this writer would enjoy seeing the heels go up against Sheamus and Ridge Holland again in a longer match. There's something to that opposites attract kind of combo, not least when Sheamus is in the mood to deliver bangers and elevate someone new.
