6 Ups & 5 Downs From Impact Wrestling (16 March)

2. Sleep Tight, Rich

Don Callis made a rare physical appearance on last night's Impact Wrestling, confronting Rich Swann as Kenny Omega's next challenger was celebrating his Unified World Championship victory at Sacrifice.

Swann was speaking highly of his win against Moose this past Saturday, stating how it was one of the most important moments in his career. He knows of the importance his match against Omega at Rebellion has. It's the unthinkable - an Impact wrestler has the potential to hold the AEW World Championship.

'The Invisible Hand' interrupted a celebratory Swann, claiming to be his friend, the guy who got him signed to Impact, the guy who booked him in Bound For Glory's main event for the World Championship. Callis knows how good Rich is at wrestling, calling him a once in a decade wrestler, but Kenny Omega? He's a God at the sport. It's why his One-Winged Angel is the undisputed most protected finisher in wrestling today. Swann, according to Callis, hears those words when he goes to sleep every night.

Callis doesn't often make in-ring appearances in Impact anymore. That's why when he does, it means something. Rich Swann vs. Kenny Omega is going to be a huge moment in Impact history, but we need more of these Callis appearances to get the build executed correctly. He's an incredible promo guy.

An honourable Up for Callis using Pachelbel in Canon D as his entrance music, also known as The Song You Hear At Every Wedding Ever. No reason for it, but it was class.
