3. Queen Of The Ring A Simple Build

Not every feud needs to have a complex, significant storyline.

In the case of the Queen of the Ring finals, there is a very imperfect story being told with Liv Morgan entering the tournament to try to capture all of the world title gold, with Iyo Sky standing in her way.

In reality, Iyo versus Liv would be a fantastic feud for the Women’s World Championship rather than a QOTR final. But here we are.

Monday night, the two women faced off, with Morgan doing her usual rant about being the greatest champ of alllllll time. She’s the face of the division and will embarrass Sky’s best friend Rhea Ripley at SummerSlam by taking her title.

However, Iyo shot her down with a very blunt question: Will the crown even fit on her big head? She then unloaded on Liv in Japanese, prompting Morgan to attack her, but Iyo dispensed with her with a missile dropkick.

Here’s the problem, though, with this final: If Sky wins at Night of Champions and challenges Morgan, that means we get a PLE rematch at SummerSlam. Challenging Rhea would seem odd simply because she’d be going after her best friend’s title rather than focusing on the person she just beat. Morgan/Ripley is a big match, but it would then shut out a Raw wrestler (like Iyo) from a major SummerSlam title match during a two-night PLE.

It’s far from ideal, but at least the match on Saturday should be solid.
