4. Running Out Of Runway

One of the more notable negatives from Raw Monday night was what didn’t happen.

Gunther, the man who retired John Cena and AJ Styles within the past three months, was nowhere to be seen for the third consecutive week. There still are three weeks until WrestleMania 42, so there is time to slot him into a match for that weekend, but WWE is running out of runway to really build anything meaningful.

It seemed like they were building toward Gunther getting Rey Mysterio to put his career or mask on the line after the Ring General's mini-feud with Dragon Lee, but there’s been zero follow-up on that, likely due to Rey being sidelined.

But at this stage, doing nothing with a guy who was front and center on WWE programming for a solid three months as you roll into your biggest show of the year seems criminal. If Mysterio was Plan A and he’s unavailable, then the cadre of writers should be sketching out a backup already.
