3. A Nothing Tag Match

When the Vision has officially been laid to rest, the autopsy of that stable is going to be fascinating. In some ways, it’s already a dead faction walking.

The Vision currently consists of Austin Theory and Logan Paul, two guys who were added to the stable to pad out its ranks, and now they’re all that remain. Even Paul Heyman manages to not be seen on camera with them half the time, including Monday night.

The duo faced World Tag Team Champions the Usos in a tag match that carried that WWE tropey “if the Vision wins, they could find themselves in line for a tag title opportunity” non-stipulation. The match itself (at least what was seen on television) was short and wobbly, and it suddenly ground to a halt when LA Knight fed Logan’s brass knuckles to Jey Uso, who knocked out Theory in full view of the referee for the disqualification.

In hindsight, there was some meaning behind hothead Jey losing his cool and using the knucks, but the Vision could not look like a bigger waste of space out there. Logan, in particular, went from an attraction to “a guy” just like that, and Theory is still a great example of a Create-A-Wrestler.

None of this makes the tag titles feel valuable or even desirable, considering how much of an afterthought they’ve been since the Usos won them.
