6 Ups & 6 Downs From AEW Dynamite (23 Oct)

1. An Elite Beatdown

Adam Cole Jungle Boy
AEW

Jungle Boy vs. Brandon Cutler was the quick fire squash it needed to be, and it wasn't the main course for JB anyway. Post-match, he showed more of that killer badass streak AEW are developing by calling out anybody from The Elite who wanted some of the same medicine.

Adam Cole answered, but it was a ruse. The Young Bucks ambushed Jungle, then they and Cole chucked JB off the entrance ramp through a table. Meanwhile, commentary explained that Luchasaurus couldn't make the save due to injury. Everything came together nicely during this segment.

It was a tidy bit of build towards the inevitable Boy vs. Cole match at Full Gear.

Something else stood out. Adam Cole looked like more of a leader - The Bucks did his bidding here, and it was very Undisputed Era. Cole nails that role, and he should do special things with Jungle Boy on pay-per-view when push comes to the shove.
