6 Ups & 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Jan 3)
3. Doudrop Whines
One of the big differences between WWE and AEW is supposedly that AEW puts value in a wrestler’s win/loss record, while WWE has amnesia about whether a superstar has ever won a match before putting them into a program.
Witness Monday night, when Doudrop stormed into Adam Pearce & Sonya Deville’s office to demand that she not be overlooked or jumped over in line for a Raw Women’s Championship match. She wanted her shot, not to see another title match given to Bianca Belair or Liv Morgan.
Fair enough, but Doudrop had to say this with a straight face after losing her last six televised matches, including three straight to Belair and two to Queen Zelina. Maybe if she had, who knows, won a match or two the past month, we could stomach that line. But when you’ve got a roster of nine other active wrestlers, there are a limited number of opponents.
Yes, heels lie. But when you trot them out there to say something so blatantly false with a straight face, it give them no credibility whatsoever.
