6 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE WrestleMania 42 - Saturday (Results & Review)
2. AJ Up For A Scrap

Since returning to the ring, AJ Lee has largely been protected in multi-person matches or paired up with a reliable dance partner in Becky Lynch.
Saturday, Lee and Lynch squared up one more time for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. They delivered a brisk, no-fat title bout that didn’t mess about. Becky renewed her rivalry with referee Jessika Carr, who didn’t take any of her verbal abuse. AJ bumped like a madwoman for Lynch’s offense but caught The Man unaware a few times to stay in the match.
Lynch nearly cost herself the match when she lunged at Carr, who ducked, sending Becky right into an AJ Manhandle Slam. But Becky got the last laugh when she pulled the ref into Lee’s path and used the distraction to ram AJ into the exposed turnbuckle. One Manhandle Slam later, and Becky had regained her IC title.
Kudos to WWE for not messing about with the match, getting right into it and not leaning on long, drawn-out drama or too many gimmicks. Instead, they kept up the pace, let AJ bump like crazy, leaned on Becky’s heat with Carr, and put forth a perfectly solid match.
