6 Ups And 3 Downs From WWE NXT 2.0 (Oct 5)

1. Hartwell Hurts Tian Sha

NXT clearly can't make their mind up when it comes to what they're actually trying to achieve with Tian Sha currently. The drafting of Xia Li to SmackDown likely hasn't helped their trajectory, but every time it looks like the brand are set to double down on Mei Ying and Boa, they pull something like this!

Look, it's evident the show are massively high on all things In-Dex right now, so you had to imagine that if Ying wasn't to come out on top in a match against Hartwell - set up due to Hartwell and Persia walking in on Tian Sha... smoking? - then there would be some shenanigans on show to cover for both stars.

But, despite there being a cheeky ring post bump brought about after Persia took a boot to the face on the outside, Hartwell's eventual victory via springboard elbow still didn't feel justified in the slightest. Ying literally bounced back up immediately after the three-count, something she'd been doing all the through the match! So, to have her fall after such a weak series of events felt like an utter waste of time for all those who sat through the many weeks of garage training and mist spitting.

This match simply didn't need to be booked. In doing so, NXT just proved again that flavours of the month are most definitely a thing on Tuesday nights. Don't be too surprised to see Hartwell on the receiving end of this shoddy booking should her romance with Lumis hit the skids too.
