The fact that the latest development when it pertain's to NXT's top title comes as little surprise to anyone and feels like the logical next step is a testament to the presentation of the fiery, young Bron Breakker in recent weeks. Despite the fact that he's been present on WWE television for a cup of coffee, the Steiner lad already feels like the most badass member of NXT 2.0's current roster and looks destined for huge things down the road.

But, the fact that Breakker had already been tipped for both developmental and main roster superstardom was played off brilliantly here by the current overlord of the one-time black and gold brand. In the wake of announcing the return of Halloween Havoc on October 26, Ciampa demanded a challenger for the spooky show and was quickly greeted by his new nemesis.

Breakker made his intentions to become the new champ known again, but Blackheart soon brought the explosive star down to size by reminding him that though the NXT Championship was a stepping stone of sorts for him, for Ciampa it was everything and it'll take someone with pretty big cojones to prise it from him. Luckily, Breakker boldly claims to not be lacking in that department.

Their match will be an undoubted slobber-knocker, but it's hard to imagine Ciampa being dethroned this early. Then again, this is a new era for NXT, and one which could perhaps see a rookie crowned before the end of the month. You wouldn't put it past them.
