Bray Wyatt waved his magic wand (yes, he's a warlock now too, we guess) last week, and just like that, in addition to being blue, the WWE Universal Championship is now a thousand times less prestigious.

That was sort of the whole point; any title in Brock Lesnar's hands needs to be the top prize. But did the company have to present their general lack of Universal enthusiasm quite so pointedly on the Survivor Series go-home show? Just as he was about to bring the return of the 'Yes Movement' during his preparatory match with The Miz, Daniel Bryan was interrupted at the last second by the red haze of Bray's Brothel. There was a bit of creepy sh*t. and then a mandible claw and... that was it?

That was that. We returned from commercial, and it was right back down to the common-or-garden business of brand warfare. This could not have felt like more of an afterthought.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
