6 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (March 6)
5. Amore’s Antics Annoy Again
Corey Graves might be at the forefront of a movement – a growing group of people who enjoy watching motor-mouth Enzo Amore get what’s coming to him.
Amore ran his mouth backstage, making fun of Cesaro for losing to Samoa Joe – 24 hours after he took the pinfall loss in a tag title match. Cue up their rematch on Raw, and Sheamus and Cesaro made their way down to ringside, only for Enzo to hit a suicide dive and celebrate as only he can – and promptly spill Cesaro’s coffee all over him. (Somewhere backstage, Kane and Chris Jericho were rolling their eyes.)
Cesaro chased Enzo and caused a DQ, triggering a match to qualify to face the tag champs Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson at WrestleMania XXXIII. Enzo’s habit of running his mouth and hiding behind Big Cass has become so annoying that Sheamus’ Brogue Kick was welcomed and cheered.
But he’s still the babyface in WWE logic. Therein lies the problem. Maybe they’ll course correct, but right now, it’s an annoyance that Amore and Cass are supposed to be cheered when one of them is a loudmouth with a Napoleon Complex.
