6 Ups And Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Feb 9)

3. Miz Finds His Calling

Last week, the Miz fired Damien Mizdow as his stunt double, only to rehire him as his personal assistant. The shift in the duo€™s relationship was likely because the stunt double gimmick has reached the end of its shelf life, and this could not only stretch out the angle, it could advance it in a huge way. It looks like that is exactly what is happening. During Mizdow€™s match against Sin Cara, Miz took up a seat (in a director€™s chair, no less) and barked advice, criticisms and orders to Damien over the microphone. He ordered him to open a bottle of water for him, chastised Mizdow for using the figure-four leglock and shot back at the Ohio State University crowd €“ which noted that Miz was from Cleveland, Ohio €“ €œBetter than Columbus!€ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5DwqvwM0bg Miz as a smug heel is highly entertaining, especially with him playing off of Mizdow, who has the fans firmly being him. You can feel the tension rising as the crowd is just begging for Damien to haul off and deck Miz, which is exactly what you hope for in this situation. WWE has a great turn coming, but then again, they did with a Miz apprentice once before. Let€™s hope things go better for Sandow than they did for Alex Riley.
