7 Early Match Predictions For NXT TakeOver: Houston
7. SAnitY Vs. Heavy Machinery & Kassius Ohno
NXT usually tapes a number of matches at the show to air on NXT TV, and the event in Houston will be no different. NXT TakeOver cards traditionally include just five matches, meaning a lot of top class performers find themselves left off the main braodcast. Some of the best in the world may well have to make do with this pre-show role.
What exactly is NXT doing with Kassius Ohno? The former Chris Hero returned to the company to great excitement earlier in the year, but he has since been overshadowed by his peers on the roster. Ideally Ohno will be featured more and more over the coming months, but the reality is that the NXT landscape is just too crowded.
SAnitY defeated Authors of Pain for the NXT Tag Team Championships in Brooklyn, seemingly turning face as a result of the match and their post-match tribulations at the hand of Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish. I would wager that this face turn wasn’t solidified however, as Eric Young & co are too important on the heel side of the wager for the time being.
Killian Dain won’t be involved in this bout however, his place being taken by the returning Sawyer Fulton. He will have to make do with a pre-show match in Houston.
