7 Great Wrestling Heel Runs That Ended Prematurely

Five years ago, WWE's women's division was far from being in the stellar state in which it exists today. Among the elite athletes who actually brought talent to the table, however, was the winner of the 2007 Diva Search, Eve.

Although she was nothing special in the ring at first, she came into her own in the years that followed, and became a pretty competent wrestler. She was gorgeous, yes, but as a babyface, she lacked an identity. Before long, she was given her big break in the angle with John Cena and Zack Ryder, taking the ball WWE presented her with and darting off with it.

It was unknown how she would fare in the heel role, especially after being a goody two-shoes for so long, but it was apparent she was having so much more fun in the black hat. She made it quite clear she would do anything to get to the top of WWE, and thus her work alongside John Laurinaitis - and later as Divas Champion - was off the charts.

On her way out, she did Kaitlyn a solid by dropping the title to her in her final match. On the flip side, that marked the end of one of the more compelling characters the Divas division had seen in years.
