1. An Unthinkable Double Turn?!

Now isn’t this juicy?!

Cody Rhodes showed off some subtle heel mannerisms and actions during his King Of The Ring final vs. Randy Orton on Saturday, and reigning WWE Champ John Cena has been flirting with babyface stuff during some of his more recent matches. What if we’re about to get a Bret Hart and Steve Austin-style double turn attempt come SummerSlam? Could WWE pull that off in 2025?

Think about everything that has transpired over the past couple of years in pro wrestling - nothing should sound too shocking, and Cody himself has hinted in the media that he's coming to end of his journey as a top poster boy babyface. Turning heel and lashing out at opponents who tried to tear him down or relied on his help would be lots of fun, and the WWE scene has never witnessed heel Rhodes as a main event talent before; it'd feel completely fresh.

Then, there's John. He's unlikely to call it a career at the end of 2025 without pivoting back towards a 'Super Cena'-esque babyface run. It might be fairly short, and he doesn't have a lot of dates left on this retirement tour, but WWE audiences are blatantly choking to cheer for Cena and have that love fired back at them again.

If possible, it'd be killer to see Cody and Cena step into the shoes of Bret and Austin at SummerSlam. The latter duo's WrestleMania 13 double turn proved to be the prototypical example of one done well. Few have been able to match it in terms of execution or star power since. This Rhodes and Cena attempt would.
