7 Occupational WWE Gimmicks That Were Really Stupid

4. Duke The Dumpster Droese

Duke "The Dumpster" Droese was a garbage man that worked as a babyface for the majority of his WWE career. We should like a guy that takes away our garbage because it smells. It made sense that he was a babyface. Droese was a guy that carried a garbage can to the ring just in case you forgot that he was actually a garbage man. He even dressed like your typical garbage man with the overalls, the dark pants and the gloves. He would do stuff like dump the contents of a garbage can onto a heel as a way to piss them off. A lot of the heels would do things like make fun of him for smelling. Fans would still cheer for him. There really weren't that many significant feuds in his career. His rivalry with Jerry Lawler was memorable just because Lawler was so good on the microphone that he could make anybody look competent. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfNaAZ6CWV0 He later had a feud with Triple H, back in the Hunter Hearst Helmsley days, when he was doing his rich snob gimmick and he didn't want to get his precious hands on the likes of a garbage man. The rivalry made sense although it's not like Droese became a big star because of it. What's amazing about the gimmick was that he lasted for about two years from 1994 to 1996. It was such a limited gimmick, yet he must have been liked by management enough that he made it work for a couple of years.
