7 Outrageous CM Punk Fan Encounter Stories

3. Challenging A Fan On Raw When Punk Was A Face

http://youtu.be/DBiW25bGaqI CM Punk had a great match with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam 2013. It was a win for Lesnar and the babyface Punk showed up on Raw the next night (August 19, 2013) to vent his frustrations. Since he was a face the crowd cheered everything he did, even when he went off on a fan sitting ringside. During Punk's promo in the ring, he dared a larger fan to step into the ring. He said if he entered the ring he would render him a toothless, crying heap of a man. He even challenged him directly: "If you have the balls, I dare you fatso, to step up and be a man and fight CM Punk." He went on to tell the fan that he should be a man, then he said an expletive and told him to shut his mouth. While the act didn't lead to management getting upset or anything like that, it was rare to see a babyface performer challenging a fan to a fight while also insulting that person's looks. If babyfaces did that all the time it would absolutely ruin the whole point of being a being good guy in the first place. It's one thing to be angry, but to insult the paying customers as a good guy is the wrong way to go about doing it. No idea if Punk got major heat for the incident or not, but it's unlikely that WWE liked what he said to the fan that night.
