7 Positives Heading Into WWE Hell In A Cell 2018

1. Becky Lynch

Styles vs. Joe is storytelling gold, The Miz is on fire, Orton feels dangerous, and Hell in a Cell as a whole feels like a chaotic brawl just waiting to start. However, nothing on that card could rival the pure anticipation of the reborn 'Straight Fire'.

After two years of watching Becky Lynch flounder on SmackDown Live!, change is on the horizon. She started by attacking Charlotte after their SummerSlam match, before officially turning heel on SmackDown Live! by berating the fans who "weren't always on her side". Dumb booking like this could've killed the character, but WWE did something they almost never do; listen to their audience. The fan support was so overwhelming for 'The Irish Lass Kicker' that WWE actually changed the story in favor of her being more of an anti-hero who's no longer putting up with her lack of opportunities. Becky is taking what she wants from now on, and this momentum alone has turned her into yet another insanely over act on SmackDown Live!, perhaps the most over act in the company right now.

The difference for Daniel Bryan and Rusev was that they became massively over with the audience pretty much by accident. WWE made the conscious decision to tweak Becky's character in her favor. Assuming this means they have some sort of plan for her, we can only expect that momentum to fly even higher this Sunday.
