7 Reasons WWE Shouldn't Turn Randy Orton Face

6. A Match With Brock Lesnar Isn't What People Are Clamoring For

Brock Lesnar Randy Orton2 When thinking of the reasons why Orton might turn face, the name Brock Lesnar comes to mind. If Lesnar is going to carry the WWE Title all the way to WrestleMania 30 then he's going to need opponents different than John Cena. There are some possibilities on the roster, but there are few true big names that would be "new" rivals for him. Lesnar's already beat the likes of Cena, Undertaker and Triple H. After them it's Orton that is the next biggest name among active guys. It would be a huge match. Plus, they have a history going back to the early 2000s. They were in OVW together, they both debuted on the main roster in 2002 and they didn't face off when they were both top guys because Lesnar was gone by then. Here's the problem. Orton's not capable of delivering the money promo to draw people in. He can't talk the way that CM Punk or John Cena did prior to Lesnar matches. The more he talks, especially as a face, the less cool and likable he becomes. This could be a match that WWE views as a money match, but it's really not that appealing. The build for it would likely be lackluster. The crowd could end up cheering the heel Lesnar because Orton's inability to make the crowd back him could be disastrous.
