7 Reasons WWE Won't Bring Kurt Angle Back

5. WWE Is Trying To Save Money

WWE.comWWE.comThe one story that has dominated WWE headlines this year has been about the launch of the WWE Network. With the launch of the WWE Network there's also been some bad news for WWE because they have been losing money. Since the news of WWE's money concerns have surfaced they have done a number of things to save money. They have fired wrestlers, they have cut production costs, they have moved the Raw pre-show to the studio to save money and cut the Raw post-show. There's no more pre or post Smackdown show on WWE Network. In other words, they are doing everything they can to save money right now. A company that is saving money is probably going to be hesitant in terms of bringing in a big name that expects to be paid a lot. It's doubtful that Angle would take a discount to go back to WWE. He's been paid very well for a long time and he's used to it. While he probably wouldn't get Rock or Lesnar money to work part time, it would still be significant. Angle could be a ratings draw in the short term just because fans might want to see him, but if you're trying to save money then bringing in big names could send the wrong message to the others on the roster that are in danger of losing their job.
