7 Shawn Michaels WWE Dream Matches We Could Still See

4. Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins is a modern-day Shawn Michaels. No, he doesn't throw out superkicks like Dolph Ziggler, or have a vain, appearance-obsessed gimmick like Tyler Breeze (which is very early 90s Michaels), but he does continually deliver the best performances on any given show, wowing the audience with his breathtaking displays. Or at least he did until he went down with a major knee injury late last year. Before that point, The Architect was making quite the name for himself as a PPV show-stealer and all-round phenomenal worker. There was definitely a touch of the HBK's about him, leading some to whisper about a potential match between the two. Seeds were (potentially) sown on the October 19th 2015 Raw, when The Authority's charge interrupted the former member of The Kliq and even referred to himself as 'Shawn Michaels version two...except everyone knows I'm a lot better than the original'. Michaels retaliated, stating that he never wanted to be the second coming of anybody, before referring to himself as the 'greatest wrestler who ever lived'. WWE could pick up the dispute when Rollins returns from his injury, with Michaels telling him that he needs to slow down and stop trying to be the next Shawn Michaels before it ends up putting him out for good, citing his own serious back injury and four-year absence. Rollins, being the arrogant upstart that he is, wouldn't care for the advice and would blast HBK with a little Chin Music of his own. And off to the races they go. You've got to think any match between these two would at least be in the running when it comes to deciding WWE's Match of the Year.
