7 Things WWE Fans Wanted (Until They Got Them)

2. NXT UK

According to WWE, NXT's United Kingdom branch was supposed to give British wrestlers more opportunities to expand their brand and get on another level without damaging the local wrestling scene too much. That was just a very measly cover as they couldn't openly voice their true reasoning without facing major backlash.

The reality is sadly very different. NXT UK is extremely niche and may be watched by even fewer people than 205 Live which somehow doesn't seem to bother WWE too much. Triple H's earlier promises about the non-exclusivity of performers ring more and more false as the time goes by.

WWE has raided the independent wrestling scene in the UK almost beyond repair. They snatched up as many top stars as possible and weren't really interested in doing much with them at all. What does interest them, however, is tying them up with deals that don't allow them to be shown on any other promotions' televised events.

NXT United Kingdom has actually been touted by WWE as something that was going to be a good thing for the fans and wrestlers alike. So far, it has only been a major disappointment and it doesn't look like that is going to change any time soon.
