7 Times Vince McMahon Thought WrestleMania Sucked

1. Jerry Lawler's 'Mania Debut

That wasn't McMahon's least favourite WrestleMania match ever though. Oooooh no.

That dubious distinction would go to Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole at WrestleMania XXVII. In fairness to both, it was an awful decision to send them out there for almost 15 minutes and expect something good. Cole isn't a pro wrestler, Lawler is an aging veteran and Steve Austin's inclusion as special guest ref meant fans in Atlanta were distracted from the off.

Cole told Corey Graves on his 'After The Bell' podcast that Vince dismissed the match as the "worst thing he's witnessed in more than 60 years of being in the wrestling business". He didn't like it then. That was news to Cole and Lawler. Both thought it had gone as good as anyone could've expected going in, and they were still running high on adrenaline.

A frustrated McMahon neither agreed that it was better than expected or was as hyped up as either man afterwards. That'd be Lawler's first and only appearance in-ring at 'Mania, and the same for Cole.

The Undertaker vs. Triple H probably calmed Vince down shortly afterwards.
