7 Ups & 4 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (15 July)

6. Tenille Gets Her Partner

Tenille Dashwood wanted a partner to challenge for the Knockouts Tag Team Championships. The Aussie doesn't have that partner, but she has a partner; Brian Myers.

Myers and Sam Beale were in the ring for the former to deem Jake Something a professional. This did happen, but 'The Most Professional Wrestler' added that Jake isn't a star. A brawl ensued, with Something and Beale departing the ring. With Cardona on top, a low blow sidetracked his momentum, soon revealed to be Dashwood.

This did work, but only just. The story to have Myers and Dashwood unite referenced the personal history between Cardona and Dashwood pre-IMPACT Wrestling. While it makes sense from a storyline perspective, having Tenille get a matter of revenge against Matt, it wasn't needed here. Still, the union worked, and they'll now face Cardona and a mystery partner on 17 July, most likely Chelsea Green; Scott D'Amore called Slammiversary a hot mess when making the match, while Cardona used the Unprettier to take out Myers, Green's old finish.

Here's hoping the former Curt Hawkins and Emma as a team is a full-time gig and not just a one-off for Slammiversary. There's a ton of ground this could cover.
