7 Ups & 4 Downs from WWE Raw (5 May - Results & Review)

DOWNS…

4. Cole Flubs Another Stat

Let’s not throw this entirely at Michael Cole’s feet. It’s entirely possible someone fed him a bad factoid Monday night.

As the main event got underway, Cole mentioned that Jey Uso was the fifth member of the Anoa’i family to hold “the World Heavyweight Championship,” which he clearly meant to mean any world title in WWE since only five men have held Jey’s specific world title.

Here’s the problem: Unless there’s a mystery member of the famed Samoan family or a previously unknown blood brother, there have only been four members of the Anoa’i family to hold a WWE world title. Count them: Yokozuna, The Rock, Roman Reigns, and Jey.

Even factoring in extended “branches” such as Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka and Haku and their children doesn’t yield a fifth world titleholder.

Whoever is generating these stats – before WrestleMania 41, Raw ran a graphic stating that Roman would be competing in his 11th Mania main event, when it was his 10th – needs to do better.
