10 WWE Superstars Set For A Big Push Following WrestleMania 41
5. Dominik Mysterio
This has already begun.
Dominik Mysterio left Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium as the Intercontinental Champion, dropping his Judgement Day partner Finn Balor with a Frog Splash to pick up his first main roster singles title. He turned semi-babyface in doing so and, in a moment unlikely to have been forecast, was rallied by the live crowd, so much so that he sprinted back to the ring to soak in the adulation. This must have felt inspiring, given the chorus of jeers that he is usually met with, and may have altered WWE's trajectory for his future plans as champion.
So, now what?
Dominik only came into his own when he turned heel. He is a natural heat magnet, required to do nothing but slightly raise a microphone towards his face to elicit boos. Outwardly turning him back into a babyface could damage his reputation - but WWE must capitalise in some way.
There is the obvious path, that being having either Dominik or Finn Balor ejected from The Judgement Day, dependent on which course WWE wishes to take (though a Judgement Day Civil War isn't the coup WWE thinks it could be), or there is the advantageous path; leave Dominik as he is.
As simple as it sounds, that is the ticket to success.
