7 Ups & 4 Downs from WWE Raw (9 June - Results & Review)
Punk & Cena rekindle rivalry, Jey finally succumbs to Gunther.

Welcome to WWE Raw, where the best wrestle!
Wait, that’s not right…
For one night, however, Raw turned into a haven for good wrestling, with both King and Queen of the Ring opening round matches delivering and a main event that overdelivered by miles from what had to be low expectations.
Raw produced a legitimately surprising finish to the main event, with the company pulling the trigger on a title change that had to deflate a large segment of the fanbase but also addressed a nagging issue with match quality at the top of the card. Jey Uso went out in a blaze of glory, delivering one of his best performances in singles action ever.
And that ignores a show-opening angle that could either echo the greatness of 14 years ago, or be a pathetic shadow of one of WWE’s better feuds this past generation. John Cena and CM Punk dusted off their epic feud from 2011-12, updated for the change in roles, with Punk standing up for WWE while Cena threatens to ruin wrestling. Their interaction on Monday left fans simultaneously salivating for more, but also cringing at the possibility that this could all fall apart when it gets in the ring. It’s not like Cena has had a particularly stellar run this year, and even Punk has had some bumps in the road recently.
Still, WWE turned in one of its best episodes of Raw in months, so let’s give them their kudos.
Let’s get to it…
