6. Amazing What Being Squashed Can Do

Oba Femi Kit Wilson

Kit Wilson didn’t want another kicking from Oba Femi, so he read out a lovey dovey poem he’d prepared for Oba. Then, in a funny twist, Femi wanted another one, so Kit had to read some old material that wasn’t so flattering. That led to the inevitable squash. It's incredible how this side quest has worked out for both guys, it really is.

Battering Kit has been a nice way to introduce Oba to the main roster crowds, and Wilson has gleaned something out of it too by getting more screentime for his new character. People are onboard with chanting, "TOXIC" at the top of their lungs, and the way he referred to both himself and Femi as "feminists" raised a laugh. This is very on the nose, but WWE still need to be careful not to attract the wrong kind of PR with it.

Meh, Kit seems smart enough to sidestep that whilst cutely highlighting what's happening on social media.

Later, Oba smiled and licked his chops as The Miz accidentally talked his way into a singles showdown with the powerhouse next week. By the time Miz realised that he wouldn't be teaming with Femi but facing him, it was too late. Running straight through someone better established than Wilson will stand Oba in good stead, and these are worthwhile time killing exercises until his post-WrestleMania 42 push kicks in properly.

Kit can use this feud as a means to moan at GM Nick Aldis and perhaps politic his way into a United States Title shot vs. Carmelo Hayes. Why not? He should be rewarded for his work in recent weeks.
