4. Pepper Spray Finish Is… A Choice

It’s safe to say that Karrion Kross needed to win his strap match against Drew McIntyre at Extreme Rules. A loss in his first major feud would put this main roster run at just a half-step above his last one, where he lost to Jeff Hardy in his first match.

But winning the match because his valet saved him from a Claymore and used pepper spray to blind McIntyre? No buys.

Seriously, what a terrible booking decision. McIntyre came into the match with an injured shoulder, which Kross exploited. It would have been perfectly acceptable to lose fairly cleanly in that situation. Instead, Drew had the match all but won when Scarlett jumped in the way and sprayed him, allowing Karrion to hit the Kross-hairs for the win.

That’s not a helpful win, and it didn’t go over terribly well with the live audience either. It’s not necessarily a horribly damaging win for Kross, but it was still not the most productive either.
