Given a choice between bad and worse, bad is better, but it’s still bad.

The entire Seth Rollins/Bray Wyatt feud is officially death. WWE was reduced to doing Seth’s big promo explaining his motives in burning down the Firefly Funhouse to a backstage segment (with fans booing and chanting for CM Punk). Rollins very quickly got away from talking about how once you step in the ring with Wyatt, you’re never the same.

He spotted Humbert Carrillo, who made an offhand comment about wanting to be Universal Champion someday, and immediately made a beeline for him and challenged him to a match. While that’s great and all, you could also almost feel like the writers using it as a dodge: Stop talking about The Fiend and this dreadful feud and challenge a really good wrestler to get back to what Rollins does best, which is have great matches.

Again, this was the best bad decision in front of the writers, but it illustrates how bad this has been.
