7 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct 22)

2. Rusev, Lana Storyline Is Death

Every time the Rusev/Lana/Lashley angle comes up on Raw, this writer keeps hoping that WWE will strike gold and make it work.

But every week, the storyline keeps dredging the bottom, and somehow digs deeper. It just isn’t working at all, and Monday night was no exception.

Rusev joined Jerry Lawler on the King’s Court, blaming Lashley for poisoning Lana’s mind, then after his wife and rival taunted him via satellite, set out to the “restaurant” where they were dining. Later, he charged into the eatery and got arrested.

Thrilling stuff.

Seriously, can someone pull the plug on this? The only thing it’s accomplished is make Rusev more sympathetic, but the storyline is so dumb that it likely will do more harm than good before it’s all said and done.
