7 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (September 17th)

6. The Dangers Of The PPV Schedule

Let’s review this: Brock Lesnar caused a no-contest in Sunday’s Hell in a Cell match between Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns. Both men want retribution and have legit claims (though Braun probably should have dibs).

So acting GM Baron Corbin made a triple threat Universal Championship match between all three men… at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. In November, nearly seven weeks from now. Between now and then, we have another PPV event, Super Show-Down, in just three short weeks. But Reigns and Strowman are already booked in a six-man tag match, so we can’t have that.

(There’s also another PPV, WWE Evolution, but that’s an all-women event, so we’ll give that a pass.)

It just sounded awful for Corbin, on September 17, announcing a match in this supposedly suddenly heated rivalry between all three men, for November 2. That’s a hell of a delay to see this three-man feud move forward in a meaningful way.
