You had to figure that someone would play an April Fool’s joke during the course of Raw Monday night. We just didn’t think it would come in the first two minutes – and from Stephanie McMahon.

The Raw commissioner opened the show by noting that WrestleMania was six days away, and she was about to make the all-women’s main event bigger by adding a competitor – Steph herself. The crowd rightly booed, to which Stephanie asked whether they could take an April Fool’s joke.

Kudos to WWE for making a joke out of something that might not have seemed all that far-fetched under normal circumstances and played right into everyone’s worst fears.
