9. The Only Way To Promote A Battle Royal

Or, at least in WWE’s writers’ limited, feeble minds, this was the only way to promote Sunday’s Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Jinder Mahal squared off against Apollo Crews in a meaningless squash match (Crews won, if you care) with most of the Raw participants in the battle royal surrounding the ring – though it was never announced if this was a lumberjack match.

Sure enough, once the match was over, everyone tried to pose with the Andre trophy, triggering a brawl that resulted in people being thrown over the top rope in rapid succession, because that’s what you do to plug an upcoming battle royal – you simulate it in the stupidest way possible.

Oh, and Crews was left standing tall at the end, if you care.
