7 Ways WWE Can Improve Baron Corbin

4. Don’t Make Him Wrestle Too Much

This might sound weird, but monster characters can work a lot better when they wrestle less frequently. It worked for Goldberg, it works for Lesnar, and it even works for more skilled wrestlers like Samoa Joe. They can cut promos and brawl backstage, but they keep the lid on until that long-awaited pay-per-view blow-off. It avoids overexposure, and makes the inevitable PPV match feel more must-see.

Corbin could easily use up most of his TV time by refusing to partake in matches with opponents he views as ‘unworthy’, or attacking and bullying opponents he views as roadblocks to success. It would keep him relevant, give him heat, and take the weaker elements of his game out of the spotlight on a weekly basis. Plus, a backstage brawler persona fits perfectly with his loner biker gimmick.

Look at it this way: weren’t The Club more interesting when they were attacking people from behind and doing run-ins, before they debuted with boring music and silly trenchcoats?
