7 WWE Stars Who Should NEVER Turn Babyface Again
2. Charlotte Flair
Others are 10x better as an ice queen bitch.
It's no accident that Charlotte Flair has struggled to rekindle her stunning Raw run with Sasha Banks since moving to SmackDown in April 2017. The absence of Banks didn't help, but she was never the real issue. No, it was WWE's plan to turn Flair into a dignified, likeable babyface that tanked.
Smiling at the fans, high-fiving kids and talking about how she wants to make her daddy proud went against everything Charlotte became known for on Raw. There, she was a vindictive, using cow who knew she was super-talented, had a chip on her shoulder about Ric's questionable fatherhood during her formative years and despised anyone else having the spotlight.
That was a compelling narrative, and the same resentful hatred reared its ugly head when she beat the tar out of Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series. WWE's only plan now should be to firmly establish Charlotte as the best outright heel female in the promotion, and they should never attempt to tamper with that winning formula again.
If fans cheer her, they cheer her. She doesn't need to acknowledge it.
