8 Best Bromances In MMA History

4. Colby Covington And Jorge Masvidal

From the best of friends to one of the most heated rivalries in the sport right now, Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal initially became close when Covington was hired as the wrestling trainer at the American Top Team gym before embarking on his own MMA career.

The pair remained close through the years though, even when Covington started to gain traction by adapting the heel persona from professional wrestling and bringing it to combat sports in a way not seen since the days of Chael Sonnen. However, Jorge's incredible success last year meant that both men found themselves at the top of a division with only one belt to fight for.

Suddenly the career trajectories of both fighters appeared to be converging, and their friendship quickly deteriorated as a result. Out of nowhere reports were coming out of their gym with both sides accusing the other of anything and everything to continue to stoke the fire.

Hopefully, the pair can make as much money as possible by resolving their issues in the cage before going back to the way it was before all of the beef. I mean, the trash talk is fun and all, but videos of the pair doing sit-ups together before a pool party to look good for the girls in attendance is about as wholesome as MMA gets.
