7. The Big Return

Assuming the stage is perfectly set, The Undertaker’s comeback moment should be a walk in the park. The anticipation will be through the roof, and when the gong strikes, the SmackDown crowd will lose their mind.

As with Goldberg’s recent return, WWE should keep Taker’s until the end of the show. Set some time aside, build the whole show around it, then pull the trigger. The atmosphere will be electric, and all of the WWE Universe’s eyes will be on The Undertaker.

The Deadman will take the microphone and speak in his trademark slow, droning style. It’s time to finally acknowledge the elephant in the room: all legacies must end, including his own, and he’s reaching the end of his career. It’s time for The Undertaker’s Last Ride, and he’ll make a big announcement at Survivor Series.

Cue an incredulous AJ Styles.

Outraged that Undertaker would dare take up airtime on “his” show, AJ would be at his smarmy best in running down Taker’s legacy, and the heat levels would be nuclear. Have the WWE World Champion spend several minutes telling Taker that his time has come and gone, and that there’s no place for him on AJ’s SmackDown, before the lights suddenly go out.

They come back on a few moments later, and just like that, The Phenom is gone, and AJ Styles is furious.

See you at Survivor Series.
